Description:
Get ready for a magical journey where stories come to life through creativity! In Once upon a craft children will first gather for an interactive storytime, where we’ll dive into a carefully selected children's book filled with adventure, imagination, and wonder. After the story, we’ll bring the tale to life with a themed craft inspired by the characters, setting, or plot.

Each class encourages reading comprehension, listening skills, and creative expression. As children listen to the story, they’ll be invited to discuss key moments and imagine "what happens next." Then, using a variety of materials — from colorful paper and paints to glitter and glue — they’ll design a craft project that connects directly to the book’s themes and characters.

Who It’s For:
Children ages 3–5 y/o who love stories, art, and using their imagination!

 Supplies Provided:
All materials for the craft projects are included. A shirt that can get messy is encouraged to bring from home!

Class format: 55 min session

• 10 min “Open Play” : Time that will allow the kids the freedom to explore, create, and play at their own pace. It's a fun, unstructured time where imaginations can run wild before we move into our group activities!

• 5 min “Silly Shakes” : Time that will allow the kids to wiggle, giggle, and shake out the sillies! During Silly Shakes Time, kids have 5 minutes to move, dance, and release their energy before settling in for class. It's a fun and playful way to get ready to focus!

• 15 min “Once Upon a storytime”: Time that will allow the kids to gather, listen, and imagine as we dive into fun and engaging stories that will inspire the craft activities to follow.

• 25 min “Mini creator”: Time that will allow the kids will bring the story to life through a fun, hands-on craft inspired by the book. It’s a creative way to connect imagination with art!
